Love above Victoria Street: The intimate loft where couples are tying the knot
In the heart of Hamilton’s central city, tucked high above the hum of Victoria Street, love is in the air.
Situated on top of The Londoner in a 1899 character building is Hamilton’s newest wedding venue, Love in the Loft. Fitting just six guests alongside the couple-to-be and marriage celebrant, the space is designed for those looking to tie the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony.
For owner Shan Wildman, who also runs her own photography studio and personal branding business, the venue gives couples the best of both worlds: affordability without having to compromise on a beautiful ceremony and keepsakes.
“I think there’ll be some people who are really drawn to the idea of a space like this and being able to get married in it,” she said.
The idea for Love in the Loft came about when one of Wildman’s friends – recently married in a small wedding ceremony herself – suggested her photography studio would be perfect for elopements.
“She said if I had…an option like this, I would have jumped at the opportunity.”
