City of Wonder – Art + Design Week

City of Wonder (COW) Art + Design Week launches in Hamilton from 25 September to 4 October 2026, bringing art, design and new creative experiences into the heart of the city.


Over 10 days, more than 40 activities and programmes will take place across Hamilton’s CBD, bringing together artists, designers and creative practitioners from Aotearoa and internationally.


Highlights include a special exhibition from China National Academy of Painting, presented as part of COW’s international programme, and A New Concept for Living, a showcase exploring new ideas in design, architecture and the way we live.


With exhibitions, immersive experiences, workshops, talks, city walks, retail activations and creative experiences across the city, COW invites everyone to explore Hamilton from a different perspective — and discover a City of Wonder.
