Love Shopping celebrates Hamilton’s central city retailers this October
Hamilton’s central city will be the place to shop, discover and win this October, with Love the Centre launching Love Shopping, a month-long initiative celebrating participating local retailers and rewarding the shoppers who support them.
From 1 to 31 October, customers who make an in-store purchase at a participating Love Shopping retailer can scan a QR code to enter the promotion. Every entry goes into the draw to win a daily $50 in-store credit at the participating store of the winner’s choice. All entries will also go into the draw to win the ultimate $1,350 central city shopping spree at the end of the month.
“Love Shopping is our way of recognising and rewarding the people who choose to shop locally,” says Vanessa Williams, General Manager of the Hamilton Central Business Association. “Every purchase helps support local businesses, sustain jobs and contribute to the energy and vibrancy of Hamilton’s central city.”
A wide range of central city retailers are taking part, offering a fantastic selection of homewares, jewellery, gifts, books, comics, food, flowers, art and specialty retail. Participating retailers are: Parlour, Zebrano, Sills + Co, Wild River & Co, Racket – N-E-S, Mark One Comics, Vetro Mediterranean, Rossellini, Poppies Bookshop, Trek n Travel, Texas Radio, Journey & Co, Ruby, Different Avenue, Agape, Precious Metals, Soul Gallery, Cavelh Décor, Renting with SB, Infinity Spiritual Centre, Gails Floral Studio, Goldsmiths Gallery, Apt Collections, Gaming DNA, Snapshot Photo Warehouse, Escapist board games and Hobby Lords. Many of these businesses are independent retailers, bringing their own personality, expertise and specialist offering to Hamilton making our central city a destination.
Retailers are also being encouraged to run special in-store events during October. Details of participating events will be included on the dedicated Love Shopping page on the Love the Centre website lovethecentre.co.nz and shared through Love the Centre’s promotional channels.
“October is a great opportunity to explore the central city, support local and discover something new,” says Vanessa. “We invite everyone to get behind our retailers, enjoy the experience of shopping in the heart of Hamilton and be in to win while doing it!”
