Hayden McMillan
Chef-owner behind two of Wellington’s most iconic restaurants, Floriditas and Loretta on Cuba Street.
Jude Messenger
Head chef and owner of The Bistro in Taupo. Jude wowed us last year at our Matariki dinner and expect the same on April 24th.
Mat McLean
Our own local food hero, Mat is one of New Zealand’s most respected regional chefs.
Greenstone Creek is served in fewer than 15 restaurants across New Zealand. All four chefs participating in this dinner are among the small group of chefs who regularly feature the brand on their menus, making this collaboration a rare gathering of chefs connected by their appreciation for exceptional New Zealand beef.
Don’t miss out on this amazing experience having four exceptional chefs in our town.

Aussie legend Courtney Barnett returns to Aotearoa! 💚
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter will bring her live show to Kirikiriroa on Wednesday 18th November, celebrating her newly released fourth studio album 'Creature of Habit’.
Tickets will be available to purchase by the General Public on Friday April 17 at 12pm local time.
About the artist:
Courtney makes returns to Aotearoa in the wake of extensive UK and North American dates. Known for a performance that’s part intimate storytelling, part indie rock, with bursts of raw grunge-like energy, Courtney Barnett live is genuine and authentic. A signature blend of moody guitar, witty, anecdotal lyrics and her laconic talk-singing have cemented her as “one of the most distinctive voices in indie music” (The Mancunion).
Released in March, Creature of Habit is the highly anticipated new album from the indie trailblazer. It’s a bold, emotionally resonant record that explores the central question: how to get out of your own way so you can truly feel your life.
Written in the wake of a relocation from Australia to Los Angeles and the closure of her long-running label Milk! Records, Barnett was grappling with changes that put the future of both her life and career in question. Rather than internalizing those feelings, she decided to bring all this swirling confusion directly into the recording process. With singles ‘Stay in Your Lane’, and ‘Site Unseen (feat. Waxahatchee)’ setting the tone, the album marks a decisive new chapter in Courtney Barnett’s musical evolution.
Tickets on sale midday 17 April.

Celebrate queer and takatāpui voices at our Open Late. For Hamilton Pride, we have invited queer and takatāpui storytellers to take the stage in proud partnership with Pecha Kucha Hamilton.

The evening is led by our fabulous MC Benny Marama and features presentations from journalist and playwright Sam Brooks, visual artist Hollie Tawhiao, and iconic tattoo artist duo Cali and Lou.
This event is suitable for audiences 18 and over. Audience members under 18 must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Instead of closing at 5pm, Te Whare Taonga will be open until 9pm so that you can enjoy the exhibitions after-hours.
