Created and hosted by music witch, Astrid Jorgensen, Pub Choir is an ENTIRELY improvised, comedy music lesson. The show is a euphoric sensation that transforms a crowd of tipsy strangers into a legendary choir.

By the end of the show the YOU will be belting out a popular song in three-part harmony.
‍

Don’t prepare anything! It’s not that kind of choir. You simply need to open your sound hole (your mouth FYI). Pub Choir will do the rest.

This May, Opus Orchestra presents a powerful evening of orchestral and vocal music, pairing a major New Zealand opera by Dame Gillian Karawe Whitehead with one of Beethoven’s most exhilarating works.

At the heart of the programme is The Journey of Mataatua Whare, a moving opera in concert telling the true story of the great wharenui taken overseas without consent and returned home in 2011.

Exploring history, identity, loss and return, this unforgettable performance features outstanding New Zealand soloists alongside the Waikato University Voice Programme Ensemble.

Orchestras Central’s Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the Hamilton Operatic Society under the direction of David Sidwell and Simon Brew for a spectacular celebration of one of musical theatre’s greatest composers. The programme features beloved songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Sunset Boulevard, and more—along with seldom‑heard gems that shine in this rich orchestral setting.
